Language Lessons by SKYPE
I’ve been giving students language lessons using SKYPE for several years now and think this service is virtually unknown and deserves to get more notice from language lovers everywhere.
All you need to benefit from lessons in the comfort of your own home is a Webcam (minimum 1.3 megapixels) with built-in microphone, speakers and broadband. This means you can have lessons from anywhere in the world, provided I’m awake!
These lessons are built around YOUR needs. If you prefer a conversation lesson to brush up your skills, or help with studies, or simply want to learn for fun, then that’s OK.
For those of you who like scripts to go with their learning I send scripts via email to your address well in advance of your lesson (each one lasts an hour) plus MP3 audio recordings too, where relevant.
You choose whether you want to have lessons in audio or video. At present I’m teaching Spanish to a businesswoman in the far north of England once a week. She prefers audio which is fine because she can concentrate on scripts, texts while speaking with me.
During each lesson I send messages using SKYPE messaging so we can tweak any mistakes there and then.
I always send the next lesson plan via email together with new scripts on the day following the latest lesson. This gives YOU plenty of prep time at your pace.
